Stem cell therapy has proven to be effective for organs and tissues restoration, and for fight against the incurable and obstinate diseases. It can treat patients with various diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, cancer, blood diseases and many others, including rare genetic and hereditary diseases. Stem cell treatment allows for achieving effects that are far beyond the capacity of any other modern method.
Stem Cell Treatment that uses the patient's own stem cells in the process is called Autologous Stem Cell treatment. With today's advancements on medicine, these cells are harvested from fat deposits (adipose tissues), blood and bone marrow of the patient's body. Autologous Stem Cell Treatment shows promising results in treating leukemia, lupus, arthritis, cardiomyopathy, brain damage, diabetes, spinal cord injury and other forms of degenerative and auto-immune diseases.
Unlike Allogeneic Stem Cell treatment that uses Stem Cells from other human body, Autologous stem cell treatment does not trigger the patient's defense system to attack the newly transplanted stem cells because they came from the patient's own body. The whole procedure of reintroducing Autologous Stem Cells in the body takes only 4 hours .1 hour for harvesting and 3 hours for incubating stimulating and reintroducing the cells to the patient's body. After the re-infusion of stem cells to the patient's body, it takes about 10-14 days before patients will notice positive results.

QUESTION:
Dioptres limitations to laser eye treatment?
I've been told that laser eye treatment is great for up to approx 2.50 dioptres but my eyes are -5.00 and -6.50 and I have been told that it's not wise to go through surgery with that measurement because it involves taking too much off the eye. Is this true? What's the opinion of a professional?
Also, I've heard that some people need to go back to wearing glasses after 10 years, is this true?-
ANSWER:
-5.00 and -6.50 are not necessarily too high for laser surgery. Corneal thickness is the measurement of concern when it comes to "taking too much off the eye." The cornea is the front of the eye that does most of the focusing for the eye. It is the part that is lasered in surgery. If it is too thin, then surgery is not a good idea. There is no way to tell just from your prescription if you are a good candidate or not for surgery; I suggest seeing an eye doctor for an evaluation.I'm not sure on statistics about people needing to wear glasses again, but there is always a chance of your eyes changing again. Your eyes shouldn't get as bad as they were before, though. And remember, when you get to about your forties, you will still need reading glasses as you go through presbyopia. This is when you lose the ability to accommodate, or focus at near, because of the aging of the lens and its muscles.
Again, the best way to know if you are a good candidate for surgery is to see a doctor. Talk to your optometrist next time you go in for a checkup. Good luck!

QUESTION:
is laser eye treatment the right way to go?
do you think its is safe and wise to go for the laser eye treatment by optical express?
cos i dnt make a lot of money so it will take a while to save £800 or do u think i should get contacts and pay £56 every 3 months?
and do u think there will be a lot of risks with the eye treatment?-
ANSWER:
I wear daily contacts and have done for the last three years.
If I had the money I think I would go ahead with laser eye treatment. There is lots of risk but technology is so far advanced now that the chance of losing your sight during laser eye surgery has decreased dramatically. But you have to think about more practical things, it takes a long time to heal and in that time you will be very dependant on others to drive you places etc.If I was you, I'd buy some contact lenses that suit you and gradually save the money if you still want to go ahead with it in the future. But you might find contact lenses are a really good alternative.
I personally use daily contacts "Opsys" from Specsavers and pay £22 every month. I find them very comfortable and would recommend them to anyone considering daily contact lenses.

QUESTION:
Is getting Laser Eye Treatment worth the Risk?
I might be getting Laser Treatment done, but i'm not sure if it's safe....
Money is no problem...I want the best for my eyes, thanks!-
ANSWER:
If you get CustomVue lasik it's worth the risk, in my opinion. Conventional lasik has a higher rate of permanent halos, glare, and bad night vision. If you look online, most complaints are from conventional lasik. I had CustomVue a week and a half ago and I don't have any problems with halos or glare...not even dry eye. CustomVue lasik is twice as much (and more accurate), but it's your eyes and you will have to live with the results the rest of your life...so you should choose the best available. Good Luck

QUESTION:
Is it safe to under go eye laser treatment?
I'm near sighted. I dont have 20-20 vision. My eye glass are getting thicker. How much and is it really safe?-
ANSWER:
It is safe depending on how credible your doctor is. There are some really brilliant LASIK surgeons and corrective eye surgery is a good choice for many people- however, before considering it, you need to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist (not an optometrist) to see whether you are even a candidate for LASIK. Firstly, you need to be at least 18 to even receive the procedure and if you want a credible doctor, go to a good hospital. DO NOT look for a bargain. Anything below ,000 isn't quality assured. Be careful and good luck.

QUESTION:
How much is laser eye treatment?
I wear contacts at the moment and I am considering having the eye surgery. Has anyone got a recommendation of someone to go to and a costing. Also anyone had bad experiences with this? Whats the recovery time? By the way I have a slight astigitism in one eye but I don't think that matters. Thanks in advance.-
ANSWER:
Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges Laser surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Fly2india4health Consultants. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients, as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your Dental surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of Healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
My cousin got her Dental surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results. She is all praise for Fly2india4health Consultants. She paid just 20% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. Hope this helps

I have a history of Retinal detachment and I am short sighted. Could I still get laser eye treatment?
My family has a history of Retinal detachment and I have had it checked and I will in the future have the same outcome. Do you think I could still meet the criteria to have the laser corrective surgery for short sightedness?-
ANSWER:
I think you need to be examined by an Ophthalmologist, but likely you'd be a good candidate for your Near-sightedness. Remember, laser vision correction isnt designed to give you perfect vision, but greatly improved would minimize the true visual invalid you currently are!

QUESTION:
What are the risks of laser eye treatment?
i know some one that got it and it worked really well, but i also heard that it can go really wrong.-
ANSWER:
My husband won't have it done because he's like you only worries about what can go wrong. My daughter would like to have it done. I told her father we should let her have it done and pay for it. And that is what I'm planing. It's her eyes and if she wishes to have laser surgery so she won't have to wear glasses it's OK with me.

QUESTION:
How can you get rid of glasses without laser eye treatment or contacts?
I have been wearing glases nearly all my life now because I have extreemely bad eyesight. Everything without glasses a very blurry and to me, my glasses are mylife because without them I really struggle to see.
Does anyone know of any exercises that will help me be able to see better? Thanks!
-
ANSWER:
hmm well you can try these but bear in mind that you will probably still have bad eyesight even with doing these..
Nevertheless:-A simple exercise is to look at a point close by (1-3 metres away) for 10 seconds then (while staying absolutely still), shift your gaze to a point farther away (5-10 metres away)
-There are supposed to be some yoga exercises for better eyesight so you can google "eyesight yoga" to find more exercises but here's a couple:
http://www.blissplan.com/natural-remedies/how-to-improve-your-eyesight/ <<==This one has a lot of great ones btw!
http://hubpages.com/hub/Improve-Your-Eyesight-With-YogaApart from exercises, make sure you do the following:
-Drink LOTS of carrot juice/eat carrots or foods containing carrots
-Try to minimize how much you use things that have screens or atleast not have your eyes too close to them(computer screens, tv screens, etc.)
-Wear your glasses! Squinting is worse for your eyes
-Get more sleep/rest! (naps are great too)Hope I helped you (and your eyes lol)

QUESTION:
would you reccomened eye laser treatment?
I spent £350 on new glasses last year and I have problems reading small print now!! I am 53 and dont want to have to keep spending loads of money on glassses that will end up like the glass at the bottom of a milk bottle as they will be that ruddy thick!! Has anyone whose had this done had mega problems or would you reccomend having the treatment? Does it hurt, does it last a long time and will I really be able to see as well as the adverts claim?-
ANSWER:
i have had eye surgery in 2003 when i had a cateract removed at the age of 27 and with the right care there is no reason for added pain. i also had my eye laser treated by the nhs as my eye clouded over again. the laser treatment didnt hurt at all, but you have to be really carefull afterwards. This is not always the case with any surgery that it wont hurt as people are very different from each other. Things can and sometimes do go wrong as there are always risks with any surgery. Due to the nature of why i had my eye done I find that it only gave me better sight for a month due to scarring. Nobody can tell you if you are likely to scar your eye inside as until it happens there is no way of knowing. I hope this helps. you can be refered to hospital for a more detailed look at why your sight is worse. and it may reveal a cateract. If that is why your sight is bad you can have it removed. i hope this helps. this message was sent with love.

QUESTION:
What are the side efects of Laser Eye Treatment?
Anyone whos had it how does it feel? Is it painfull gettin it done?
Someone said you go blind when your older?
Fill me in please lol? Thinking about having it done!-
ANSWER:
No, you don't go blind when you're older because of the Lasik or laser eye treatment.
It's a little bit painful, more uncomfortable than anything. The only danger is if the surgery is not performed properly, or if you get infection, you can suffer from it for life.
You should research the websites regarding the surgery as well as opinions (good and bad) of patients who have had it done.

QUESTION:
Last year I had laser eye treatment, it was the best day of my life, does anyone else agree?
I have been wearing glasses for 25 years up until last year, where I had the Lazik treatment, since then I havn't looked back, it completely changed my life, I want to know if there are any people out there that are sceptical regarding the treament?-
ANSWER:
Congratulations. It is something I personally have wanted to do for years.
I am not recommending it to anyone before people start having a go, just my personal opinion. The only thing that has stopped me is the cost. I know it is only around £400 per eye these days, it amounts to a lot of money when you have a young family and 4 eyes in the household that require treatment. This sort of money can be best spent elsewhere for the time being.
I do dream of one day being glasses free like yourself.
Well done.

QUESTION:
Laser Eye Treatment for 14 year old with -10 eye power (Near-sighted)?
I have a very bad eye power. I am near-sighted and am told by doctors that it will continue to increase. The doctor also said Laser cannot fix my eyes because they will pass the maximum limit of -10 power over time, which I am at right now. I am strongly recommended not to do Laser right now since my eyes are growing (after 22 is okay). When I turn that age, can I get laser treatment for powers like -14 or something, or is what my doctor said true?-
ANSWER:
What your doctor said was completely true. They will not be able to do laser treatment with this sort of prescription, but there are some other options that could be looked into at this point. You may be a candidate for an intra ocular lens implant. This is when they change the prescription in the lens inside the eye in a similar way to a cataract operation

QUESTION:
Under eye laser treatment?
Im 30 years old and just completed a laser eye treatment for black veins under my eyes causing my under eye to go black despite the amount of sleep or night cream used.I was told the swelling should be gone with in 24 hours but were going in to day 3 now and despite using ice packs there still pretty swollen. Is this normal?
Also, how long should I wait before I expect to see full results of this procedure?-
ANSWER:
If you were told that the swelling should be gone in 24 hours, then anything beyond the 24-hour period would not be considered normal. I suggest that you go back and consult with them again and let them know of your situation. This way, should anything be wrong, then they can attend to it immediately. It is always best to be safe than to be sorry.

QUESTION:
do you think my son will be eligible for laser eye treatment?
my son has mild ocular albinism, due to a part of his eye that is under developed i know he is too young just now for the treatment but later on will he be eligible? also i was told that he will not b able to drive either do you think they are to early to tell me this as his sight might get a wee bit better in the future with age?-
ANSWER:
There are two issues in play here. Your son may have limited vision due to the lack of pigment in his retina. I am not aware of any treatment laser or otherwise that will fix that. He may also have refractive error e.g. nearsightedness. The laser surgery most people talk about is for conditions like this. I don't know that albinism is a reason you can't have this type of procedure. Most surgery centers won't do procedures unless the best potential vision is close to 20/20.

QUESTION:
What does EXACTLY happen in laser eye treatment?
I am thinking of getting it done when i'm older because i'm sick of wearing contact lenses and glasses all my life.
Was just wondering what does exactly happen?
What does it feel like?
What are the after effects-
ANSWER:
there are two types, lasik and lasek. lasik is where they make an incision in the cornea, to create a flap, they then use the laser to remove a layer of skin. lasek, is where they push the but of cornea to one side, rather than cutting it. I had lasek, and i have to say it was the best thing i ever did. I had no problems. I was very nervous going in, but everybody was very reassuring. You are awake for the procedure. The worst thing to me was the smell and the noise when the laser was turned on. I never felt the laser. They put a piece of surgical tape on your eyelashes to keep them out of the way, and taking that off was the worst part! I was able to see as soon as i sat up. My eyes were sensitive to light on the third day after surgery. Then it got better and better, within a week i had perfect sight. I would def recommend it!

QUESTION:
has anyone had laser eye treatment, and can you tell me if it went ok?
My husband is thinking about having it done, but would like to know more about it.-
ANSWER:
I had lasik done about 5 years ago. My treatment went well, and I was seeing 20/20 by the following morning. I do however, have a problem with dry eyes, and a slight problem with glare at night. However, technology has improved greatly, since I had my surgery, and glare issues should be reduced. The best advice I can give your husband is to research, research, research! Not only the procedure, but the doctor as well. Also, if he is nearing 40, then he wants to be extra careful because he may still need reading glasses after the surgery.

ANSWER:
Ok, sweetie. You should call some of the service organizations that pay for services like this for people in your situation. call the Diabetes Association and the Lion's club to begin with and see if they can do a referral for you. If they can not, ask who else might be able to help you that they know of. There has to be something, and it is not ALWAYS at taxpayers expense. That guy is rude.

QUESTION:
Does anyone know if and when Laser eye treatment to correct vision is?
not appropriate i.e too old, eyesight still degenerating?
Jooda Groova...Yea right...very funny my man.-
ANSWER:
If you are under 18, or your prescription is constantly changing, then it's not worth getting until your eyes are stable. I wouldn't really recommend it for older people(over 70)for slower healing . Also, there are an awful lot of health problems that can prevent you from getting it done such as type 1 diabetes, clinical dry eye, pregnancy & rheumatoid arthritis to name a few.Your eye has to be thoroughly checked to ensure that it is able to take the treatment as well. The other one is expectation. You aint gonna be able to see through walls and stuff, but it's certainly a life changing surgery. The majority of people are suitable for it and don't be put off by stupid stories. You can have cateract surgery after you've had it done and unless your optometrist is incompetent, you shouldn't get a detatched retina, as the eye screen to check suitability should pick up any risk, including that.
Try http://www.opticalexpress.co.uk
Or http://www.visx.com
They have the Visx Laser, and Visx actually invented laser eye surgery and hold all the patents, so are the market leaders. Everyone else chases their tails.

QUESTION:
Is it possible to get a free laser eye treatment in Croatia?-
ANSWER:
I would be terrified to have anybody out of the U.S. do any procedure on my body especially my eyes. They don't have the strict guidelines we do and they may not even be insured against malpractice. You'd be better off to talk to your eye Dr. 1st to see if they think you qualify. Better to be safe than blind.
Then set a goal for yourself to start saving up for it. The best way I found when this became my goal because I wanted it THAT BAD was to take any extra money I came in to (overtime, bonuses, $ given as gifts, etc) and put it into a savings acct knowing that this is what it was for so the temptation to touch it was never there.
Also check your health/vision insurance plan as they may cover part of it. You could also reimburse yourself through a flexible spending acct if your place of employment offers that type of acct.

QUESTION:
Is laser eye treatment any good?
Hello all I have worn glasses form the age of 5. Now a days I mainly ware monthly contact lenses but they can be a pain is ass. I have been thinking about my eyes corrected with laser treatment. Is it a good idea or is it not all its cracked-up to be?
Thanks for your time…-
ANSWER:
My husband had it done about 7 years ago and i can quite honestly say it was the best money we ever spent, it was little things he loved like still being able to see the kids in the swimming pool once he had taken his glasses off and being to open the dishwasher without steaming up. His sight was quite bad before he had it done he had a focal length of about 2 inches without his glasses plus he had astigmatisms which were all corrected free of charge, he is now over 40 and was told to expect some deterioration in his eyes but as yet it hasn't happened, just in case you are interested he had it done at Optimax in Finchley Road in London, hope that helps you to come nearer to a decision

QUESTION:
Eye laser treatment question?
I am 24 and diabetic for last 9years. My eye sight is pretty weak now but it was weak even i was not diabetic, so we cant say its mainly cause of diabetics. What i would like to know, is it safe to have eye laser treatment for my eye sight?-
ANSWER:
There are three eye disease are associate to diabetic;1)diabetic retinopathy.2)cataract 3)glaucoma.Since you ask about laser treatment and your vision, now I only talk about of diabetic retinopathy:retina illness due to diabetic.Retina is our visual senor.
The damage is progressive;all relate to damage to the blood vessels of retina.First make the vessel weak and developed very small balloon like call microaneurysms, because this change the small vessel will become blocked and lack fo supply to retina cell, result stimulate to grow more blood vessels. These new grow vessel are abnormal, they can grow over to most important part of retina call macular.and these vassel also will ruptur and bleed. The leaking blood will futher weaked the vision. The laser treatment only indicate to the late stage;when abnormal growth of vessel,to burn these this vessels to prevent them to grow to the macula.Laser treatment will leave scar and can lose some vision but for the stop the further damage and is no choice.

there is a minimum age, it's either 18 or 21, i can't quite remember. but it's safer to be at least 21 as your eyes may still be developing in late teens.
complications after laser surgery include dry eyes, over or under correction, fluctuation in acuity of vision, light sensitivity, double vision. long term effects are still generally not known.

QUESTION:
should i get a laser eye treatment?
i have heard that it will have some effects when u r older etc etc.
and it will leave a scar in your eye. etc. etc. if u know about laser eye treatment or have doen it can u suggest me if i should.
p.s im 16. i know i should be 18 to have one-
ANSWER:
Most reputable doctors will not do surgery on anyone that is still growing or whose vision is still changing. This means that you might not be able to have it until into your early 20's. Some doctors will do it earlier. I find that most peole who go ahead and do that end up with trouble later. I work for an optometrist who is friends with the leading lasik surgeon in the US, Dr. Robert Maloney. He does all of the "Extreme Makeover" cases on TV. He has a website that also has an online copy of his best selling book that is all about lasik and answers all of the questions you have. They ar in Los ANgeles, but have a referral service for the best Doctors around the world. Just remember, BEST and CHEAP never go together in the same sentence, AND most of these Doctors would not touch you at 18 becuase they are not just in this for the money. The average age they do in this sinstitute is about 23 or 24 or more. It is also just too much of an individual thing....they take tear layer, corneal thickness, and over all general health into consideration as well as your age. It is way more complicated than what most people think. Go to maloneyvision.com and see what you can find out there. That way you will know for yourself what is entailed and you will be a bit more educated about it and can make a better decision for yourself.

QUESTION:
what r de advantages and disadvantages for doing Laser eye treatment for correcting Power -2.5 for both eyes.?
Can abybdy suggest me de facts 4 doing Laser eye treatment Pls.-
ANSWER:
Everyone's eyes are different, so it would be hard to tell you what exact advantages or disadvantages you personally would have, however, in general the advantage is that you see better without correction. As a -2.50 you probably wouldn't have much trouble, but as I said, everyone is different and there are certain factors that could effect your end result. Laser vision correction is very safe and quite easy. It takes maybe 15 minutes and you go home right after. The main thing to be cautious of is infection. You will have drops to help prevent this, but there are some common sense rules you will need to follow as well, such as avoided dirty or dusty environments. Good luck if you elect to go with the surgery!

QUESTION:
Can i join the RAF Regiment if i have eye laser treatment?-
ANSWER:
I suspect that if your eyesight without glasses is good enough at the time when they test them, they won't care if you have had laser treatment or have had perfect eyesight since you were a kid.So long as your eyes function to a decent standard, they won't care why that is.
Navy recruitment's like that, believe me.

QUESTION:
help?? my cousin is 15 and wants laser eye treatment, is that possible?
he has got terrible eyesight but his size is 6"2 will that effect the chance of him getting laser eye treatment? his dad wouldn't mind getting him laser eye treatment twice in his life. he's not bothered about the cost. I just wants to know if it is possible, can he get it at the age of 15?-
ANSWER:
No reputable surgeon will do it at age 15.His eyes are still changing too much at that age, and is liable to be right back where he started within a few months or a year.
They won't do it until the vision has been stable for at least 18 months...and that usually doesn't happen until the early to mid 20's
