      the one that takes your insurance is the best one. My insurance only got me 10% off each eye! My bill was roughly 00 per eye.

      My procedure went fine, and I almost have forgotten what it's like to wear glasses (and I've worn them since 2nd grade!) I had mine done 2 years ago Monday. I can still see fine. I'm a little leery about driving at night, because things seem to be 'darker' than I remember, they simply don't adjust to the darkness the way they used to. I don't have any issues with halos around lights or anything.

I would recommend going to maloneyvision.com and read about what to look for in a surgeon....there is a lot of info on the site and this is the best laser surgery office in CA....they are in LA. I do not work for them. Really. I live about 2 hours away, but I know that the doctor I work for refers to them a lot, and he also refers people to get help that have had problems with surgeries form cheap places! So....get the best you can afford! You only have this one set of eyes!

      Why do CHEAP and LASIK belong in the same sentence!?! Do yourself a favor. Go to maolneyvision.com read what they have to say about surgeons in your area that they reccomend. Read about what to look for in a laser surgeon. Learn the questions to ask and how to find out if the doctor os good or not. You should always go with the BEST not the CHEAPEST with your eyes. These are not HUBCAPS we are working with. When people come to our office that have had problems from cheap places, we send them to the Maloney institute to be fixed. Dr. Maloney is the best there is and only refers to the best. Do not do any less for yourself. You will be sorry.

    other lasik doctor use nidek lasik not wave cost about 0 less but is farther away and much more crowded. but he has about 40k patient.

      That is a very good price for wavefront Lasik. In our area, it is about 3500-3800 for wavefront in the best surgical facilities.

      I would also inquire about charges for re-treatments in the rare event prescription fades are noted a year or so after the procedure. Many surgeons provide retouches at no charge, but still others will charge after a certain time period. You will also need to be on a few prescription drops following the surgery, all of which are extremely important to the proper healing of your eyes. Check to see if you will be responsible for paying for these medications or the surgical center will provide them to you.

    Hi,

    I am scheduled to have my Lasik procedure done at this eye correction center next week. I went in for the consultation and had my eyes evaluated. The staff was very professional and the doctor who evaluated my eyes was also very professional. I am a little worried just because the price is a lot lower than other surgical centers, but this may be because the center is not in a great part of town. The credentials of the surgeon were impressive and I did not find any litigation or negative reviews against either the surgeon or the organization.

    If anyone has had his or her eyes worked on at Lasikfirst, please write to me and tell me about your experience. These are my eyes and I don't want to make a mistake.

      Thats good for you but make sure that when you do go to the doctor for you laser treatment that it does not sting or burn. I watched a woman on the Montel Willams show and she talk about how she wanted to get laser treatment to remove hair from her face and neck.When the doctor use the laser pen it burned her and she told him that it burned.The doctor just told her that it was ok. The next morning she woke to up to find burn scars all over her face and neck. It gave me chills just looking at it.I wish I had pictures to show you.

    so i have 20/80 vision and want to get lasik in july or august. im turning eighteen the second week of july. so probably august. i want to go to maloney vision in los angeles. is this a good place to go? whats an estimate of how much it will cost? like 3,000? can i get it right after i turn 18, or will they want me to be older?, because i have had the same prescription for years, and i have taken really good care of my eyes. i even improved my vision a little with eye exercises and i take vitamin a every day.

      well first you should go to your eye doctor and talk to him if your a candidate for lasik. he will most likely want to do a pentacam that will measure your corneas thickness. if your corneas aren't to thin then most likely he'll say go for it. lasik price ranges depending on the place, the ophthalmologist i know charges around 2500 per eye. yes you can get it right when you turn 18. hope everything works out for you.

    I'm 15 years old. I live in Los Angeles. I want nothing more in life than to be a LAPD Police Officer. I am a good student 3.0 GPA at the worst. What classes are recommended if I want to go to a University for 4 years?       You can start preparing now. Right now, you should learn as much as you can while in high school. Earn the best grades that you can. Be a good person. Maintain a good reputation. Don't do anything that you would not want a background investigator finding out about. Be physically fit. You should attend college, and earn at least a four year degree. Earn the highest GPA that you can. The more college that you have, the better! You should choose a college major that interests you and that would also be useful for police work. Criminal justice, accounting, psychology, a foreign language, or computer science are some good examples. Even if a police department does not require you to have a degree, you will have a better chance of being hired if you have one. Some police departments pay their officers more if they have degrees.
